Default My M-42 winter camo -

Gents, I purchased this helmet from a big time collector at the last SOS. He said he was slowly parting with some of his best. I posted this about a week ago and forum members gave it a less than warm welcome. It was suggested to get better photos in the sunlight and show the rim, pins, and the liner better. It is a bit overcast today - but here is my effort. M-42 marked under the rear rim C (then maybe kl - hard to read), under that a number 4400. I hope these photos help.

Thank You for taking the time to help sort this one out. I know it is an unusual camo scheme but I still hold out hope.

Rich

I must say the close up photos give a different perspective in my opinion. I tend to lean towards it being a good one at this point and would really like to see in hand. Even the liner which I did not like looks very legit. I still think clearer pics of the entire helmet would help as the pics are blurry IMO. Regards, Barry

Much better pics indeed and I have to agree with Barry, I’m much more liking it than not liking right now. Johnno.

I agree with the sentiment, the close ups of the pins and surrounding area makes me lean towards a good one, just a bit of a strange camo pattern that fueled my doubt. Regards, Bill

I'm with you there Scwherpunkt. Too many gouges dints dings scratches everywhere, if you are going to buy an exotic the liner has to be right, this one looks like it came from somewhere else , rusty bad fitting odd white stuff on leather . It does not pass my tests . Rob

Not a fan of the wear patterns and orange rust on this lid.
